What is Pyrethrum?

Pyrethrum is derived from the dried flowers of Chrysanthemum Cinerariaefolium. "Pyrethrins" are the active insecticidal components of dried Chrysanthemum flowers and are used world-wide as an ecologically safe way to control unwanted pests.

Pyrethrum Is a Natural Insecticide

The Pyrethrum flower is nature's answer to controlling insect predators because oils from the seeds of the flower provide a highly effective protection against mosquitos- carriers of deadly diseases such as Malaria, Yellow Fever and West Nile virus. When mosquitos come into contact with this natural insecticide, it attacks their nervous systems almost immediately, knocking them from the air and kiling them.

Pyrethrum rapidly affects a wide range of biting insects, but it has a low mammalian toxicity, meaning it won't harm you or your pets.
